The Children's home is located two miles north of Cherokee on State Highway 16 between San Saba and Llano. The twenty-five beautiful acres of oak trees lay on the edge of Hill Country. Cherokee Home is surrounded by a bounty of deer and Texas wildflowers.
The mission of Cherokee Home for Children is to engage children in education, community, and church related activities to positively influence their lives. Preparing the children for the time where they leave Cherokee takes good, wholesome and dedicated people. They help construct the atmosphere and environment in our rural community.
Cherokee Home for Children is under the over site of the eldership & board of directors of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ located in Brownwood, Texas.
